Creating an image in the mind of the reader...
In term one, Riordan, Rodda and Stine have been learning about using words and descriptive language to create a visual image for the reader. We drew the creature our friend described.
Kia Ora I really enjoyed reading your descriptions. I can see that you have thought very hard about descriptive language features. I liked that I could paint a picture in my mind and then compare that with the artworks. Tino pai rawa!

I loved the stories and the pictures I think the stories had a lot of detail. I think it would have been better if some of the stories were longer because some of them where short. But other than that they did good.
Kia ora Arika I really enjoyed reading your work. I thought it was very descriptive, it was like I was there staring into the creature’s eye myself.
I liked the end where you wrote ‘bam!’ and left the reader wondering what would happen next. I couldn’t see the picture of the creature very well on the screen though.
I love reading creepy stories where there is always a creature involved, they draw the reader in using descriptive words, but in the end they always turn out to be some harmless little animal. So Arika what did your creature turn out to be, is it some type of unknown animal or maybe a new species? What’s it called?
