Term two - lockdown and back to school

 During term two, we chose our own topic to look into.  This made sure that the children were engaged and interested in their learning.   Here are some of the amazing creative pieces of learning that these children have done.

Names of places in our area! Ngā ingoa o te rohe

We have been investigating the Maori names of places in our community and finding out what they mean.  We are learning about our turangawaewae.  Check out our class google map.   We have found that some are really tricky to find out while others are very easy.

Te wiki o te reo Māori.

Kia ora koutou.  Ko te wiki o te reo Māori te wiki nei.  Kei te ako mātou he kupu hou Māori.

Hi everyone, it is the week of Māori language this week.  We are learning new Māori words in our class.  We are learning about location words and how to structure sentences in te reo.
