Virtues - Praying the Lectio Davina way.

This week in RE we are learning about praying in the Lectio Davina way.  This means we read or listen to the scriptures.  Next we identify the word or phrase that stands out to us.    We draw the word/s and a picture while repeating the word or phrase to ourself (meditation).  Next we pray and listen with our hearts.   We used Colossians 3:12-15:

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
We decided to put all of our amazing words and pictures together to create some wall art - it reminds us of the virtues that we are working on. It is bright and colourful and it helps us feel positive and confident to look upon the virtues that we are striving to achieve.
