The Treaty of Waitangi

This week we have been learning and researching about the treaty of Waitangi.  Some of us have presented our learning in assembly and we are all putting our learning on our individual blogs.

Libby made a slideshow telling us what she has learnt.

Here is a Treaty of Waitangi presentation from Ellis, Pyper and Sophie M:

  1. Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu for 2018. I am excited that your class has joined a group and I will get to check out your blog on a regular basis. My name is Tania and I am the organiser of Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu. I live in Whangarei, quite a way away from where you live in Christchurch BUT close to Waitangi! I am lucky enough to be able to go to Waitangi Day and learn more about the Treaty every year. It is awesome that you are learning about Te Tiriti o te Waitangi too - thanks for sharing your presentations Libby, Ellis, Pyper and Sophie. I like that you have chosen to create in different ways to share your knowledge. Did you learn about the 3 principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi?
