Our theme for this term is communication and most of our independent learning is based on this theme. Nadia has created a really well written DLO, detailing an ancestor of hers who came to New Zealand, and she has told us how he would've greeted others.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your DLO, what a great family history you have in Westport. Do you know what year your Grandad Mick came to New Zealand? Do you know how he got here? Do you still have the family farm? I know that my Great Grandma - Mary Atkinson - came to New Zealand from Ireland when she was only 16, all by herself on a ship! Did your Grandad come by himself or with his family?
