Maths Week

We are celebrating Maths Week by exploring various Maths topics in our House groups. It is a great way to practice being Team Players, because when we work together, we achieve more.

Chess tournament

Yesterday 5 of our learners took part in a Chess tournament at Grey High School. Everybody had a great time participating. Griffin came 2nd overall in the tournament. Well done Griffin and the rest of the team.

West-a-Maths

Wow we have had some very busy moments at school the last two weeks. We sent 3 teams to West-a-Maths last Wednesday. Mrs Bellis and some parents took the Year 5-8 teams. They had a little visit to Mrs Cutbush in Reefton and worked hard at the competition. Our Year 7 team came third.

SPACE ART

WALT: Create artwork using new and mixed materials.

We have been lucky enough to have Granny Waters in helping us with our art. We used a mix of flotrol, silicon water and paint and we dropped our paint into a cup from different heights  We chose a lot of interesting colours and put a little of each colour at a time.

We had a visit from the John Paul II boys

First Aid

Today we had Kathryn visit us from  St John's. She taught us how to deal with things if there is an emergency. We learnt about:
